The tool is a must have if you need to remove a tailpiece from a Sloan flushometer. Often when upgrading a urinal or toilet, you might need to change the rough-in in order to make the new fixture fit, so the tailpiece would need to be removed. It makes removing the tailpiece easier than other tools, which can potentially damage the tailpiece. This tool works internally, which prevents damage to the chrome finish of the tailpiece.

This tool also has a tailpiece removing end for TOTO flush valves as well.
